ANALOG DEVICES LTC1595CCS8#PBF Digital to Analogue Converter, 16 bit, 3 Wire, Microwire, Serial, SPI, 4.5V to 5.5V, SOIC, 8 Pins

Product Overview

LTC1595 is a serial input, 16bit multiplying current output DAC. It is pin and hardware compatible with the 12bit DAC8043. Sensitivity of INL to op-amp VOS is reduced by five times compared to the industry standard 12bit DACs, so most systems can be easily upgraded to true 16bit resolution and linearity without requiring more precise op-amps. This DAC includes an internal deglitching circuit that reduces the glitch impulse by more than ten times to less than 1nV-s typ. It is used in applications such as process control and industrial automation, software controlled gain adjustment, digitally controlled filter and power supplies, automatic test equipment.

  • Integral nonlinearity is ±4LSB maximum at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 5V ±10%)
  • Differential nonlinearity is ±2LSB maximum at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 5V ±10%)
  • Gain error is ±16LSB maximum at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 5V ±10%)
  • Low glitch impulse is 1nV-s typical at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 5V ±10%)
  • 3-wire SPI and MICROWIRE compatible serial interface
  • Output current settling time is 1µs typical at (TA = 25°C)
  • Equivalent DAC thermal noise voltage density is 11nV/?Hz typical at (TA = 25°C)
  • Supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V
  • Supply current is 1.5µA typical at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 5V ±10%)
  • Operating temperature is 0°C to 70°C, package style is 8-lead SOIC
