Zoom A1 Four Acoustic Multi-Effects Processor Pedal

Zoom A1 Four Overview

Add a New Dimension to Your Acoustic Instruments
Designed to elevate your acoustic instruments to new heights, the A1 Four from Zoom is the first multi-effects processor designed specifically for acoustic string and wind instruments, packed with 80 high-quality effects, including 35 effects dedicated to acoustic instruments, and a sophisticated acoustic guitar emulation engine that uses specially recorded IRs for a true-to-life transformation of your guitar tones. You can run and chain up to five simultaneous 32-bit effects in any order you want in up to 50 user-defined patches, and with 68 rhythm patterns, a chromatic tuner, and a comprehensive internal looper that can store up to 30-second loops, you have a powerful toolset for unlocking the full scope of your creativity.

A 1/4" output combines line amp and headphone output into one, so you can easily connect to a PA system, your guitar amp, or high-powered headphones with support for 17mW per channel into a 32-ohm load. The extra USB Micro-B connection lets you power your pedal, provides MIDI I/O, and can be used to connect to the free Guitar Lab software for creating and editing effects or patches, and the A1 Four can also run on four AA alkaline batteries on-the-go, providing up 18 hours of battery life. The A1 Four includes the MAA-1 Mic Amp, which makes it easy to connect dynamic and phantom-powered condenser microphones to your processor.

Acoustic Guitar Modeling
Add depth and dimension with acoustic emulators and modeling. Refresh your instruments natural sound, allowing your live performances to sound just like your studio recordings. Select and hone in on the tone of your favorite guitar make and style.

With a selection of 15 factory presets (plus 13 more available as free downloads on Guitar Lab), you can select your favorite AG MODEL, D-28 for example, and instantly recover the sound character of that renowned and original body shape. Each AG MODEL can be adjusted with 4 parameters (gain, bass, mid, treble) to control volume and refine the audio output of your modeled sound. You can also set the AG Pickup Selector to match your guitar's pickup type (piezo or magnetic) and add a specific EQ modeled on a variety of dedicated processors.

Efficient Connectivity
The A1 Four sports simple yet versatile I/O that can handle numerous situations without bulking the pedal up. A simple 1/4" line input is provided for plugging in, and a combination 1/4" line and headphone output lets you connect to high-powered, studio-grade headphones or amplifiers equally with ease.

An extra stereo 3.5mm aux input lets you playback music from a smart device for playing along to, or for matching your instrument tone to tracks before recording. The micro-USB port allows you connect your pedal to a wall adapter for power when batteries are not needed, and you can also process MIDI information, update firmware, or connect to Guitar Lab for 13 extra modeled acoustic guitar presets as well as creating and editing effects.

The Perfect Partner
The Zoom MAA-1 mic adapter provides a hassle-free connection to the A1 Four. It works with dynamic microphones and even provides phantom power for condenser mics. Add effects to any acoustic instrument and adjust gain settings with the MAA-1's easy-access controls.
Instrument Demos
Turn Your Violin into an Orchestra
From the rich, full sound of a string symphony to the raw, distorted explosion of metal, the A1 Four has effects for every genre.
More Body for Your Harmonica's Soul
Play punchy, midrange sounds of a blues harp or experiment with your own new sounds. Play through the preset patch Hm StevieW and get that famous harmonica sound as the choruss wet signal effect is modified to fit the frequency response of the chromatic harmonica.

The A1 also provides you with a truly effective simulation of the Bullet Mic, also known by harmonica players as the Green Bullet. Select the preset patch Hm Juke and now hear the legendary amplified, warm tone of the Green Bullet come to life, even when using a standard vocal microphone.

Take Your Upright Bass to New Heights
With focused highs and rich lows, the A1 Four gives you control and flexibility from classical to rockabilly, and all styles in between. Add octaves, select your piezo effect, or create your own unique signature sound.
