Kolari Vision ZCLIPIRND3PRO Overview
Featuring an aluminum frame with small built-in magnets, the 3-stop Magnetic Clip-In ND Filter for Nikon Z from Kolari Vision secures magnetically to the camera mount, and your lens then mounts on top. The filter sits securely between the camera and lens. It's compatible with full frame Nikon Z-mount cameras. The filter material is glass. A small removal tool is included but not required. The compact tool looks like a guitar pick and is included just in case, as the filter can easily be removed by hand.
The ND filter darkens the image a bit when shooting in outdoor environments. It allows you to apply motion blur to moving subjects and lets you shoot with slower shutter speeds and longer exposures. In addition to this, this ND filter is also capable of being used in combination with infrared filters up to 720nm. One way of achieving this is by using it with a Kolari circular IR lens filter, sold separately. With the clip-in filter attached to the camera lens mount and the optional IR filter mounted on the front of your lens, you can have two filters working together at the same time.
