iStarUSA BPU-340HD Overview
Designed for use with high-end data storage servers or workstations, the compact 3 x 5.25" to 4 x 3.5" 12 Gb/s SFF-8643 Hot-Swap Cage from iStarUSA features a high-density multi-disk storage backplane that allows four 3.5" SAS/SATA hard drives to be mounted into three standard 5.25" drive bays.
The BPU-340MS supports RAID 0/1/1+0/5 configuration for high performance or redundancy data applications, such as digital audio editing, HD video editing, security systems, or SOHO/SMEs. It features four aluminum hot-swappable bays with handles, allowing flexibility without powering down your desktop and durability when swapping drives. For cooling, the 80mm fan draws airflow away from the drive bays automatically, while the aluminum housing further dissipates heat. Powering the four drives is accomplished via two 15-pin SATA power connections.
