EVAL7136U100VGANCTOBO1 is a half-bridge evaluation board with CoolGaN� transistor 100V G3 and TDI EiceDRIVER� 1EDN7136U. It allows designers to conduct a comprehensive general-purpose evaluation of the featured CoolGaN� Transistor 100V G3 together with the dedicated TDI EiceDRIVER� gate driver. The GaN transistor is housed in a small PQFN 3x5 package and has a very low on-state resistance of 2.4mohm, making it ideal for demanding high-voltage and high-current applications. The high-side gate driver IC with truly differential inputs is tailor-made for driving GaN transistors. This board includes an optimized layout for a hard-switching half-bridge, as well as waveform measurement points and other useful features to enable easy lab bench characterization of these transistors and drivers. It is preconfigured as a buck or boost converter but can easily be reconfigured for a double-pulse test or any half-bridge topology with external connections.
