GAMECHANGER AUDIO Motor Synth MKII Electromechanical Synthesizer Module
GAMECHANGER AUDIO MkII GCAMS Overview
- Lower mechanical noise (due to custom motor engine, soft-mounting, and sound panels)
- Upgraded VCA section
- Upgraded analog filter circuits have increased headroom, improved envelope response speed, and precise analog Keytrack mode with adjustable depth, direction and filter glide
- Expanded controls for Portamento, Detune, and Cross-Mod
- 3 fully assignable LFOs
- Added Digital voice (DCO)
- Improved Sequencer, Arp, Motion Rec
- Improved User Interface
- The Motor Synth offers two separate MOTOR Voices with four Electromotor oscillators eachthe optical disc creates sine, saw, and square waves through reading wave reflections via infra-red sensors, while the electromagnetic pickups at each motor's base produce the inductive M waveform.
- Both voices can operate in mono, unison, or in four-note polyphonic mode.
- Both Motor Voices are equipped with a separate set of controls for adjusting Volume, Scale, Waveshape, individual Amp Envelope engines for each musical note, and very detailed control over a deep and versatile Portamento / Pitch Mod section (called Acceleration/Brake).
- The Motor Synth MKII features an additional third voicea high-quality digital engine that can be used either independently or to augment the raw sound of the Motor Voices. The Digital engine (DCO) can be used to produce various classic waveforms (with waveshaping) or as a noise generator.
- The DCO is also equipped with a separate fully controllable Amp Envelope, Portamento Section, and its own digital multimode filter designed to reproduce the 4 analog filter modes.
- Both Motor Voices are equipped with a separate analog, multimode filter section with adjustable Drive, Cutoff, Resonance, Envelope Shape and Amount, and Filter Type.
- Four filter modes: 24 dB Low Pass, 12 dB Band Pass, 12 dB High Pass, 24 dB All Pass, with self-oscillating resonance.
- The Motor Synth MKII also features an extremely powerful modulation section that includes 3 individual LFOs with adjustable positive and negative depth controls. Each LFO can be easily assigned to almost any knob or encoder value on two independent modulation slots A and B.
- There are five, independent modulation waveforms available for each LFOeach with a detailed waveshaping engine.
- Eight non-velocity-sensitive keypads for inputting notes, sequences, patterns.
- Four rotary Pitch Encoders for editing note values and microtonal pitch adjustments. Innovative Clutch function (temporary parameter editing buffer).
- Alternatively, the synth is fully MIDI and CV compatible and can be used with all of your favorite keyboards, controllers, and sequencers.
- MIDI In and MIDI Out connectors for sending and receiving Note and Clock info.
- Multiple mod wheel and channel pressure slots assignable to any parameter with depth control.
- Three assignable CV inputs (3.5mm).
- Three assignable Trigger Inputs (3.5mm).
- USB for MIDI in/out and for file transfer to micro SD card.
- Assignable Arp Engine with Note Repeat, Pattern Repeat, Pattern Shift, and Accent functionality.
- Internal note Sequencer Engine with savable patterns, pattern chaining, ratcheting, micro-timing, probability, and step-repeat functionality.
- Powerful Motion Record engine with eight editable lanes (playback speed, direction, duration, quantization).
- Single 1/4' TRS output jack with adjustable Split Voice Routing (can be used as Mono out).
- Two Separate Send/Return loops jacks (3.5mm TRS) for each Motor voice (pre-VCF, post-VCA).
- Headphone output.
- Single, mono 1/4' input jack for input-signal processing.
