This prime lens features a manual focus design and a clicked aperture ring for convenient tactile feedback. Built into the optical design are two ED elements and two high refractive elements for sharp image quality and reduced chromatic aberrations. The bright f/2.8 maximum aperture avails working in dim lighting conditions and makes it easy to create separation between your subject and its background. The 6.7" minimum focusing distance allows for working with extremely close objects. Additionally, a 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
With internal focusing, the lens length remains the same, improving operability and reducing the amount of dust that can get inside
